Burning Life

 

 

The candle fights,

to burn its Life!

blue-gray-yellow-orange,

all colors –

                 dancing in the Wind!

 

Wild – strong wind!

Yet,

the candle fights,

to burn its life;

and a child, plays

under its Light!

 

Unaware of the heat,

                 on the red wick;

Unaware of the melting wax,

                 trying to hold the fire;

Unaware of the flying insects –

                  dancing over their Pyre!

The Child plays on…

Until …

the candle burns down!

 

And then, when its done,

                  a frightful cry…

 

Another one fights,

to burn its Life!
